Tefal Fresh Express Giveaway!

November 25, 2011 by Abby 7 Comments

**This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to Amelia McDermott!**

Update 26/11/11: Due to a limitation of the Blogger commenting system, I have had to change how to enter this competition. Entry is now via Facebook only, so that I can get in touch with you if you win. If you previously entered by commenting below, please enter again. Apologies!!

The generous people over at Soup have sent me a new Tefal Fresh Express to test out. Even better, they have offered to send one lucky Aussie reader of Things for Boys a Tefal Fresh Express of their very own!

The Tefal Fresh Express is a mini food processor, designed to make getting your daily intake of fruit and veg that little bit easier. It comes with 5 cutting cones that slice and grate your fruit and vegetables, perfect for sneaking into everything you cook. On first impressions, it’s a cute little machine and looks funky sitting on the kitchen bench without taking up much room. The cones store on the machine when not in use, so it is definitely a lot smaller than my regular food processor. So far, I haven’t had a chance to give it a good go, but it did make quick work of grating a carrot for some pasta sauce.

Over the next week, I will post up my full review of the Fresh Express and some recipes using it.

HOW TO ENTER
1. “Like” Things for Boys on Facebook and
2. Post a comment on the Things for Boys Wall, telling us what your favourite kitchen gadget is.

Official Rules:
Giveaway starts on 25/11/2011 and will run until 8/12/2011 at 11:59 pm AEDST.
Giveaway is open to Australian residents only. Apologies to my readers outside of Australia.
One winner with a valid entry will be selected at random. I will email the winner and they will have up to 3 days to claim their prize or another winner will be selected.

Disclaimer: I was given a Tefal Fresh Express for the purpose of doing a review and giveaway. I received no additional compensation. All opinions are my own.

Again, so sorry if you posted a comment, but I have had to remove them and change entry to Facebook only as Blogger doesn’t always give me a way to get in touch with you if you win. I have moved comments from Mlle Slimalicious and Kristy Sayer to fb as I can get in touch with them, but everyone else who left a comment will need to enter again on facebook. Again, so very sorry for all the confusion. This has been the most stressful weekend!!

    Hi again Abby,
Luckily I saved you on foodgawker.
My favourite kitchen device is my $9 julienne slicer. It’s great for making thin potato slices for our family potato bake nights.
    Up until recently i used a very ‘well used’ kitchen knife that took f o r e v e r, lol.

hi allgreek – if you want to enter the competition, please leave a post on the wall of the facebook page, as mentioned in the post above. I have no reliable way to get in touch with people who leave comments, so facebook is much better. cheers, Abby

This is so strange.. I commented yesterday (I can still see it on my fb log) but it’s somehow disappeared from your page..

Was it deleted for any reason?

Any idea if this sells in the US? I can’t find it on amazon….which usually means something doesn’t exist!

Secret pyjamas! My dress for this year's @sew_melb Secret pyjamas! My dress for this year's @sew_melbourne garden party was the Charlie Caftan by @closetcorepatterns. I shortened it at the shoulders by an inch and think I shortened it at the bottom too. I altered the pockets so they attach into the waist panel, because I hate when in-seam pockets flap about and pull at the side seams. The side slits are a double turn narrow hem as the overlock and turn as suggested in the pattern looked puckered. The fabric is a Cotton + Steel rayon by Masaru Suzuki, which is a dream to sew with. I've made another dress in the red colour way.
Beans from the garden and my favourite way to eat Beans from the garden and my favourite way to eat them... Stir fry in hot oil (coconut is delish but whatever you have is fine) until a bit burnt (about 5 mins). Chuck in a few squirts of fish sauce for the last 5 secs and toss through.
Give them a minute to cool if you can lest you burn your mouth.

A new hat! I used the free #closetcoresunhat. I've A new hat! I used the free #closetcoresunhat. I've added a hair hole, since why don't all hats have that?! Also added some garden wire to the brim. Instead of finishing the brim edge with bias, I did the usual RST stitch, fold and top stitch. That means the brim is a little shorter than the pattern. I wanted to keep the hat lightweight, so it's unlined and has only the two layers of canvas fabric for the brim. The cotton canvas is a vintage fabric from my stash, which originally cost 15 shillings and 9 pence (I think) per yard.
